I have been rooting for the All-Star small forward and supporting him since his controversial decision, but why do you always keep bringing it up. It's nice that you try to help the Boys and Girls club and all of that, but please, you are bringing up things that are nearly two months old now.
Forget about it. The NBA season starts in almost a month.
He was hyped and energized in his first practice, earning more money by the second of the hype, endorsements, pretty much everything! But it comes to a point where you need to stop talking about "The Decision," because it keeps bringing more controversy.
And out of all the things that annoy people, but not me, what LeBron recently did really got me.
In a recent interview with CNN correspondent Soledad O'Brien, he asked if racism or race or anything part of that had to factor in with his big summer decision.
"I think so at times," James said. "It's always, you know, a race factor."
What? Why are you trying to bring this in? When did anyone try to bring up race before any of this?
Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson didn't break any of this up. But unfortunately, LeBron himself did. Now that is just going way too far, pal. Seriously. That is just....wow. I really have no words to describe because I have never heard something so idiotic.
But then again, people shouldn't make a big fuss about it, too. O'Brien just asked a simple question and James answered it in a honest, professional way, unlike what he did with his "Decision."
And saying this brings up more problems with the race factor. James is in the top ten of the most hated athletes and the most hated athletes of his race. The more people keep fighting over LeBron James, the more race could take advantage and cause riots between us humans.
Please, people. Give it a rest.
"It definitely played a role in some of the stuff coming out of the media, things that were written for sure," Maverick Carter said.
When does it stop?
But LeBron James needs to keep his mouth shut, for real. It becomes a huge problem when you bring something like this up. James has said a lot after his big decision. Listen, if I were in his shoes, I probably would have done what Shaq done. Jump from one place to another place that will guarantee you a championship, but don't make a big deal out of it.
And look, Shaq didn't even get hate out of it. Was there huge news and riots throughout Orlando when he Shaq decided to play for the Lakers? Were there media folks ripping him in their columns? No.
More importantly, was there anything to do with race? Was there any racism involved? At the most, hardly. Just tiny at the maximum. But as for James, it's a totally different story.
It's seriously time to move on from the Decision. The season is over a month away, and it's time for the Heat to play some ball and let their talking play out on the hardwood. This especially goes to LeBron James.
You can talk all you want, but if you can't show that your team is worthy of those so-called five, six, or seven championships, Miami will be taking more heat that the media will dry them up more than the Sahara Desert.
"I don't walk in LeBron's shoes," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "From our standpoint, we've moved on from the summer."
That's good to know.
But it's time to tell LeBron that.
It's better to just give him the sign that he should be quiet. Like, you know, put the finger to your mouth.
Or better yet, just tell him to "Ssh!"
